Public viewing

There's a full viewing week at Dicksons — the week beginning Monday 19 October 2026, the week bidding closes. It's the only chance to see the lots in person before you bid: handle them, check condition, ask questions. Exact opening hours are being confirmed.

How a timed auction works

Step one

Register

Set up an account on Easy Live Auction and register for the sale. Registration is £1. Bidding opens with the catalogue in early October, so you don't have to wait until Sunday 25 October 2026 — and you don't want to still be registering when a lot you want is about to close.

Go to the bidding portal →

Step two

Bid

Leave your maximum and the platform bids for you up to it, so you only ever pay one increment above the next bidder. You don't have to sit at a screen. From 12 noon on Sunday 25 October 2026 the lots close one after another in lot order — so an early lot can be gone while a later one is still running. A bid in the closing seconds extends that lot a little, so nobody wins by sniping.

Step three

Collect

Won lots are invoiced after the sale closes. Collection is from the former Dicksons Garden Centre in Bangor. Some of this is heavy — pub furniture and salvage — so bring a van and a hand. We can recommend a courier if you'd rather it shipped.

Buyer's premium is 20% + VAT on the hammer price. Payment is due within 7 days and lots collected within 14. Questions on a lot? Call 028 9043 4290. Full terms and conditions apply.

Selling

Got old advertising in the garage?

We're taking entries now. Enamel signs, pub mirrors and fittings, advertising jugs, tobacco tins, shop cabinets, street signs — if it came off a wall, a bar or a shop front, we'd like to see it. Send us a few photos and we'll come back to you with an estimate.

Entries close 25 September 2026. Seller's commission is 20% + VAT off the hammer, and sellers are paid around 30 days after the sale.
